Policy and Research
Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations La Société des Organisations des Citoyens Aînés de l’Ontario (OSSCO) conducts policy development on issues affecting the quality of life of seniors and all Canadians. We have recently provided feedback on the following areas which affects the policy process.
OSSCO submitted on January 9, 2017 to the Minister and his staff information and feedback from the seniors’ community in its 2017 pre-budget consultations. This was done through a formal written submission (click here) as well as verbal presentation (click here).
OSSCO believes that supporting the Social Participation and Inclusion of Older Persons and seniors is important to the policy making process. Our pre-budget submission highlights areas which should be addressed in this upcoming budget year. These are captured under the following areas with some points:

Founded in 1986, our goal is to improve the quality of life for Ontario seniors through educational programs, research and public policy awareness. Member organizations and individuals represent senior citizen networks, alliances, groups as well as the non-profit, government and private sector organizations who support the diverse and multicultural seniors community.
