Have you wanted to create a book based on your lifetime of stories? If so this is the program for you.
People learn through telling stories. Our verbal stories get passed along but sometimes they get lost. This 6-week program teaches you the art of storytelling – in writing! You learn to build your own stories and write them down to share with family, friends, or others.
At the end of the 6-week program, you will
• Gain an understanding of what makes a good story
• Learn how to make your story interesting and concise
• Understand the importance of editing and using different ways to express your tale
• Practice writing effective conclusions that provides an impactful recap of your story
• Explore if self-publishing is for you
This program is offered free of charge to adults 50+ and seniors by Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations. It is partially funded by New Horizons for Seniors grant program.
Class is subject to participation. Please register by calling 416-785-8570 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or Eventbrite by clicking here.
