Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations (OSSCO) has developed a program to help newcomers and immigrants 50+ with their job search strategies. Over a 2-day period at University Settlement's North York location, you will learn more about the Ontario job market and what is necessary to find employment. You will discover the recruiter language, the importance of branding and marketing yourself using your skills inventory. You will leave with practical information on where the "hot" job markets are, dealing with barriers to finding employment and learn how to describe the right job for you.
This program is offered free of charge to newcomers and immigrants 50+. Light refreshments are provided. This program is funded by Province of Ontario.
